Sovereign Pendant

She looks like she belongs somewhere important.

Maybe it’s the purple. Maybe it’s the way the copper comes down over the amethyst almost like armor, while still letting the stone take up all the space it deserves. There’s something very feminine about her, but there’s nothing fragile about it.

A lot of us spend years adjusting ourselves depending on the room we’re in. Explaining our choices. Second-guessing things we already knew. Making ourselves smaller in some places and becoming whatever version of ourselves felt easiest in others.

But look at the weaving on this piece. Those strong, branch-like lines don’t bend themselves around the amethyst to hide it, they hold it. They give it structure while allowing it to remain completely itself.

And right through the center sits that faceted amethyst and the copper beads beneath it. To me, that became her backbone. Her core. The part of her that has been there through every version of herself, becoming more solid as she finally figures out who she actually is.

That’s why I named her Sovereign.

Not because she rules over anyone else. Because she finally belongs completely to herself
